The PMC-system
The Mircona PMC-clamping system is intended for roughing or finishing machining with negative double or single-sided inserts with or without a centre hole.
The system allows the application of three different clamping systems - P, M and C in one and the same tool holder.
The S-system
The Mircona S-system with centre-screw fixing is intended for finishing to medium roughing with positive single-sided inserts with a centre hole.
The C-system
The Mircona C-clamping system is intended for finishing and roughing with positive single-sided inserts without a centre hole.
The C-system for ceramic inserts
The Mircona C-system for ceramic inserts is intended for roughing or finishing with negative ceramic inserts without a hole.
The system offers two alternative clamping functions; with a thrust plate especially for machining of cast iron, or with a chip-breaker for machining of steel.
Mircona turning tools in CAPTO®-performance
Mircona will upon request as special purpose tool, manufacture the range of ISO turning tools in CAPTO®-performance.
Manufacturing and marketing of this range on CAPTO®-tools is regulated by a licence from Sandvik Coromant. Mircona tools in CAPTO®-performance are thus completely interchangeable with Coromant CAPTO®
ISO throw-away inserts for turning
Mircona offers a wide range of throw-away inserts in uncoated or coated carbide grades, cermets and ceramics for turning. 6 CVD- and 4 PVD-coated carbide grades as well as 6 ceramic grades are offered as standard for all machining operations from extreme finishing to heavy roughing in most materials.
A large number of different cutting geometries adapted to everything from extreme finishing to heavy roughing are stocked as standard.
