Mircona boring heads are supplied by Advanced Carbide Tooling

Two different performances of boring heads are available, with which axial grooves, trepanning or alternatively internal turning can be made with a rotating tool in a milling machine or machining centre.

The smaller size (BFG-20) covers diameter range 20 to 60 mm.

The larger size (BFG-60) covers diameter 60 to 190 mm.

BFG-60 can if desired be mounted with two cutting tools simultaneously.

The boring heads are intended to be used in combination with MIRCONA face grooving tools with round (152S-00) or square (152S) shank or in combination with an ISO turning tool holder for internal machining.

The mounted cutting tool can be displaced sideways whereby desired diameter can be adjusted with the aid of a scale or separate setting fixture.

To avoid balance problems the boring head may be mounted with counter weights.
